COVID Precautions at In Person Kaurath Events
Some of our players are at elevated risk. Fortunately reasonable precautions can be effective in keeping our whole community safe.
Safety rules are set based on the best medical advice from our epidemiologist and regulations in our region.
Best general medical advice is that all attendees should have the most recent COVID and Flu vaccinations and boosters.
There is a risk that the government will interfere with the production of effective vaccines for the next several years. Current federal policy limits COVID vaccinations to people with risk conditions. Fortunately those conditions area still broad and include things like "Former Smoker". However since the CDC research reports have been shown to derive their conculsions from false and non-existant studies we continue to reply on actual trained epidemeologists for science based advice.
Our epidemiologist says " this is a great time to get your vaccines. Go here or here to search for a place near you. "
Given the current number all attendees...
- ...must have been vaccinated or boosted for COVID-19 in the last 18 months and provide any reasonable proof (pictures of vax cards, receipts, state tracking app QR codes, etc.)
- ...must have a clean COVID test day before or day of event. We will bring some extra test kits if needed but please test at home if you can and sent picture to logistics at this site. There is a CP bonus for the inconvenience.
- ...must be free of fever and other flu like symptoms.
- ...if warned that they are at particular risk of being infected, must take a current PCR or high fidelity test.
- ...should find a mask or masks they like and bring it with them -- wearing masks when in close contact with masked folks indoors and not eating or drinking. We recommend but do not mandate masks based on current advise from our epidemiologist. This advice will change with the conditions. We strongly encourage caution.
If you have a medical or financial reason you can not vaccinate please speak with logistics here.
Speak with your doctor and pharmacist about other non-annual vaccinations such as RSV, shingrix, pneumonia as there is greater concern about respiratory illness in the presence of COVID.

- roll your payment forwards to a future event,
- get an extra In-Between Game Action,
- get a Character Point for the actions you take.
